Clay and concrete tiles are moulded to shape in their manufacture whereas slate tiles are cut from flat sheets. All roof tiles have a good life span and provide excellent cover and protection for your roof. Other things that need to be taken into account when considering which roof tiles to choose may be the cost, how they will look on your roof and with neighbouring roofs and how heavy they are and will you existing roof structure be able to support the additional weight that some tiles have.
